Why is my car running ****ty?
I dont know why but i just swaped from a LT1 intake to a HSR and then i changed the MAF sensor and i changed the MAT sensor and O2 sensor, And TPS sensor, then after changing all that i went to run it and now it wants to like buck and surge at any RPM any gear but you have to hold it at any certain rpm and itll do it. im not sure i checked my fuel pressure idling and its at 43(AFPR), i also checked my codes and its throwing a 42 code, so i replaced the ESC module and i replaced the ignition module, the plugs and wires are new cap and rotor are new, i checked the plugs and they look brand new every time i run them so im figuring its running lean, it also takes a little bit to start, i know the EST wire is connected and the car isnt in "safe" mode, can anyone help me out on what my problem is? i really need help! anything would be appreciated!

Sometimes the car will run that way if the dist was put in 180* off. Hmmm....I didnt have this problem when I installed my HSR. It sounds like a timing or fuel issue. Did you set the TPS in the right spot and check it for .54? Did you disconnect the tan/black wire (ECM?) connector before timing the car? Hope these help.

nothing happens when i apply the brakes but it will idle down then up then normal when i push the clutch in. i set the timing at 6* base timing with the EST disconnected, i originally had it in the 180* off but i got it right now. and im not sure what you mean check my TPS for .54? thanks for trying to help me, right now i need it.

When you take the tps sensor off it has to be checked or reset. The proper reading you should get for the car is .54. There is a tech article here on how to adjust some of the sensors including TPS. Also the IAC valve could be off but that only involves (controls) idle to 2000rpms.

When you say "proper reading" should be .54 do you mean with a volt meter or whatever that tool is to test voltage going to or from it? im not exactly sure but tomorrow if i have to ill buy one or borrow one and see what its at, if anyone has the link to checking that id greatly appreciate it, but about my bucking and surging problem, i think some of the wires are bad because i had the idle up and i removed one at a time and it stopped popping so either a bag plug or bad wire, so i kinda think i figured that one out plus i reset the codes after i adjusted the fuel pressure and the code 42 is gone, and now its just the code 23 for the MAT or TPS(which its the TPS) error. so im getting there i just really need to know how to adjust or test the TPS
