I noticed some people are running the Comp Pro-Magnums Roller rockers. What did you need to do to get them in there?

Don't know if this will help but I'm running the Trickflow 23 degree heads with Crane 1.6 roller rockers. I'm also using the stock valve covers. I also have a ZZ9 style cam (clone). Allen

i'm running crane gold 1.6 rr's on ported l98 heads and stock centerbolt valve covers. im pretty sure that you cant put pro magnum rr's in centerbolt valve covers. someone correct me if im wrong...
I'm running Some narrow body 1.5's, but I was told I'd need double gaskets to get them to clear. Not true. From what I can tell, as long as your cam does not have enough lift to push the P rod end up into the cover. Which would be huge with 1.6's I'd think. 1.6's move the push rod towards the stud, so that end doesn't actually go any higher I think.
So you only have to worry about trunion width. That's what is closest to the tubes for the hold do bolts. Oh and big retainers.... But my 1.460 retainers clear. I just put white grease on the rocker tips and left the gasket off. Put the covers on and turned the engine by hand to check for clearance. The grease will let you know if your close.
I think all you really have to worry about is the trunion. But I have vortecs at the moment. Some heads have a taller cover rail than others.

I assume you're wondering how to make them work with stock center bolt valve covers....
