You want the three stud because you have cruise control and probably want to keep it. The "stud" they are meaning is how many holes there are for cables. Kickdown cable is for an automatic transmission.

Just go ahead and get the "tuned port" style cables. Looks nice and they work good.

i was thinking the three stud but ive only got two cables on the bracket now. and i have a manual tranny. one cable is my actual throttle cable and the other one runs around to the front of the car to a vacuum thing it looks like. and i planned to get the tuned port cable for the throttle but for the other cable (the one that runs to the front) i didnt know which cable would work

You have to get the three hole bracket if you want cruise. The cable that goes to your "Vaccum thingy" is your cruise control. When operated it will collect enough vaccum to hold the cable hence the throtle in place.

I'm thinking you need the two hole design. One for your throttle and one for your cruise control, which is the one in front that goes to the vac tank. You don't have a kickdown cable if you have a manual tranny.

I would suggest calling them to find out exactly what they mean by studs. Could be the number of mounting bolts used since a lot of guys retrofit TPI's into older cars there may be some that use only 1 or 2 bolts, but I don't really see how.

You need to studs (holes) for your 2 cables.

NO! I said in my above post that you need the three stud. It says it specifically in the ad that
"...a single stud for throttle only; double stud for throttle and kickdown

and triple stud for a throttle, kickdown and cruise control cable.

Did everybody else read the ad? "Stud" is meaning "hole for the __ cable." Not the number of bolts. Retrofitting TPI has nothing to do with a throttle bracket. You use three bolt holes unless you want your bracket to wander. They do not make different throttle bolt patterns.

Once agian, you need their THREE STUD design unless they are going to make you a different bracket. This is a simple question that does not require arguing or lots of thought.

i know it means the holes for the cables not bolts but i guess i am not getting it, no need to yell (and thanks for the help BTW). but i dont have a kickdown so wouldnt the 2 stud work????? if not i guess i will just have an extra place for a cable with no cable?

OK, triple stud is the only design that Jegs sells that incorporates throttle and cruise control. I agree with you that it would be nice if they sold one that was only cruise and throttle, but they don't. The two stud could work if you went to all of the trouble of making or buying a custom cable to work with it. It is mainly about the angle and length from the bracket to the throttle.

Here's a pic of my 3 stud mounted on my Stealth Ram with the Lokar TPI cable as well:

I really like how the Lokar stuff works, except that the mounting bolts for the bracket were too long and I bottomed one out and stripped out the threads in my Stealth Ram, but that's another story I too am a bit curious as to how I'm going to set up my cruise control cable (in fact I found this post while searching for information on it). I've got a Dakota Digital cruise control package that I'm going to be installing and it just has a standard cable hooked to the electric servo for the cruise. First off this cable won't match my throttle cable and look pretty (not a HUGE issue, just an annoyance) and secondly I have no idea how I'll attach this cable to the Lokar bracket. I looked through Lokar's website and didn't find any cruise control cable kits or anything like that so I'm kind of stumped right now, although I haven't even started installing the cruise yet. Anyway, if anyone has any experience with using these Lokar brackets and keeping cruise control functional I'd be very interested to hear! Good luck with the bracketing and cables CamarosRUS!!
