New ET again..
Traction is a great thing. With Nitto's propelling me to 1.7 and 1.8 60's consistently I managed a best of 12.89. Consistently I went 12.9's. Next year I will have a better computer tune and I will finally use the Nitrous!!

Thanks for the comments guys.
TragicPark: I have pretty much gone through my car. All the suspension, such as shocks, springs, LCA's, Panhard bar, etc, etc. I have had my 700R4 rebuilt with alot of go fast stuff, pretty much bullit proofed it. And my old TPI'ed 350 has been replaced with a Minirammed 383.
I was hoping for better times, but I knew my choice in heads, cam, and the fact I'm still running the stock 9 bolt 3:27 rearend was going to be a "bottleneck" in my combo. It was just more of one than I had antisipated!
turbotater: Right now I have a TCI 3000. But in the fall of 2005 I will be going with a much larger head and cam package, and I will be topping it off with a 3500 stall.

Awesome setup!! I was hoping that you kept the 350 so I could get some ideas on what to do. Oh well, I'm in high school so I guess I shouldn't worry to much about all that. Anywho, again nice setup! Glad to see a 3rd gen put down so much power and run in the 12s.

What heads and cam do you have now?
Your only trapping at 105 w/ a minirammed 383? Sounds like you should be high 11's all motor w/ another 10mph.

My Science Professor's TPId Vette went from losing traction on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts to only spinning off the line with just a tire change.

Do you mind if I ask what tires you had on previously? Were they really old and hard? How much of a burnout do you give the Nitto's at the track?
Thanks, and well done on your times!!

Free Bird: Unfortunately I only have a set of WP Torquer S/R heads. At the time of the my engine build-up, the budget was getting a little thin and I had those sitting on my work bench from a previous project, so I freshened them and ported them and on they went. But they still hold me back..big time!! My cam is the LT4 Hotcam, and this cam was used for the same reasons. Money, and I already had the cam from a previous project, so in it went. However, possibly this spring, but if not the fall of 2005 I will be getting a set of Dart 215cc aluminum heads and a Comp Cam, not sure on what grind yet?
Cadilac: Dayum is right!!!
Dr G: Yes. The only difference in the car from the weekend I ran street tires to the weekend I ran Nitto's was the Nitto's. NOTHING else was done to the car. The street tire I was running was a set of Goodyear Eagle GT II's. I dropped the psi in the Nitto's to 16, did a some good burnout's and dropped my 60's. And when I say good burnout's I mean I would stage the car in the burnout box and when smoke starting passing by my window I would move ahead!
Thanks for the comments guys. Any more questions feel free to ask.

OK, that makes more sense. The heads and cam swap is going to help you out a lot. I think you already know this.
on the cam, I'd shoot for something in the 230 and up range. I'm running a comp 306 lt1 cam in my 355 and love it. But that's a little small for a stroker w/ darts and a mini ram.
