cold start problems(not cold sart injector)

I've been having a hard time getting my 86 z28 to start in the morings... I have replaced the cold start injector, fuel filter, maf, cap, rotor, plugs and wires. I checked the fuel pressure and I'm getting about 36 psi at the rail. It will crank for 30 second then act like it is going to start then dies. It won't stay running unless I give it gas. After that its fine the rest of the day. any suggestions?

Replace your fuel filter and if that's recent or if that doesn't fix it, buy a new fuel pump.. I too believe I have low fuel pressure, but I have yet to check it. I have a 255lph Walbro sitting here on my desk waiting to be dropped in

also might want to check that your motor isn't getting starved of air. the passages for the IAC stepper motor may be clogged up, the motor may not work at all, your set-screw for adjusting the closed position of the TB throttle plates may need to be turned in.

where is this cold start switch? Is there a way to test it. I don't want to just throw money at the car in hopes that it might work.

I don't think its getting starved for air. If anything its starving for fuel...I Just passed emmissions last week. Was less than half the limit for hc's

Here is a picture of the cold start switch and there is no way to test it. The cold start switch is the reddish colored connector on the left and the black colored one is the coolant temperature sensor.
