which KN mounts to Throttle Body?

I am looking to get the cone shaped K&N air cleaner that mounts directly to the Throttle body. Does anyone have a part number so I can drive down to Summit and get one?

thanks!

What year car do you have?

85-89 use the MAF, and you can't use the cone filter.

90 and up have SD and you're OK.

I have an '86 TPI engine from a corvette and I'm switching it to SD. I live about 25mins from Summit, so I wanted to go pick up a filter for the front of the Throttle Body so I'll be ready to (hopefully) get this engine started soon.

I know from experience that the larger 1000 CFM filter doesn't fit on stock tpi. might work for an LT1, miniram, or stealth ram

i bought one a few months ago and i hate it. I think the part # is rc5000 or something close. I actually used the stock intake tube (91lb9) and mounted the KN on the end of it.

Right. RC-5000 looks like the largest after my brief look. K&N also makes RU-5004, RC-5004, RC-5010 and RC-5050 for the TPI. You can look them up on the K&N website at www.knfilters.com and maybe the Summit website. Allen

rc-5050 is the largest and it doesn't fit stock tpi. i know I tried it. plus rc-5050 comes with a bolt sticking out of it for some reason. I am not kidding on this. I have no idea what it is for

The part number for the one Street & Performance sells is "rc-5000". They kept the K&N mfg part number as their part number! I'll probably get the K&N RC-5000 from Summit then. They have it for $42.95.

i have one of those filters, its used in good condition, you want it?its the 1000 CFM filter ,cost was 50 dollers, have the stuff to put it on a stock tuneport,or aftermarket throtle body.sell it cheap,i just need to clean it first,i used it for about a year.dont know how ide get it to ya ,maybe you can figure that out.im useing the RAM AIR box now, because i have the hood for it.
you have to have a aftermarket hood for this filter, its to big for stock hood ,if you mount it on the throtle body, just thought ide mention that.
