O-Rings needed.....

I took my fuel rails out to send the injectors in for service, I took the rails apart to clean and paint them.....the o-rings that were in there were hard and I dont want to use them when i put it back together...is there an o-ring replacement kit for the rails? and I also need the retainer/locking clips that hold the injectors in place, some broke and some stretched when I took the injectors out...any info please....

Got my o-rings from either Autoworks or Advance Auto, don't recall which. Sure must parts stores can get them.

I was in a bind and had to get mine from NAPA, individually boxed at $1.29 each+ tax

PS, don't forget to replace the orings on the input and return lines too.

They did sell them in sets but where out of the V8 set so I bought a V6 set and reused a few that looked fine, no leaks.

fuel injector retainer clips

Are you refering to the fuel injector retainer clips? I encountered a wild-goose chase the last time I tried to get those.

I ended up getting an O-ring kit for my fuel rail from GM, it had everything I needed including the 9th injector rings......as for the clips there are a few places that have them, but I since found out that they are not really important to the setup, once they are in the rail and the intake with the boltdowns they are not gonna move...

"C" rings for injectors

Bombero: Here's a little story you may be interested in. When I tried to get those little metal "C" rings, the part number in the GM computer was for the LT1 or something produced well after our cars were. I contacted TPIS and asked them for guidance and they pointed me to a vendor (in other words, they don't sell to the public) that they got them from. As luck would have it, they were within a few miles of my home and I went and bought a few, even though they normally don't sell to "end users." I still wouldn't know how to find them through normal channels if I had to. Did I read you correctly when you said that they are in the o-ring kit? I understand that they really aren't necessary, but I'd like to know. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

no they are not in the o-ring kit but napa says they have them and my freind at a gm dealer says he can get them, but they are not really needed, the o-rings hold the injectors in pretty snug to the rail and once in the intake and botled down they are gonna stay put.............
