IIRC Vehicle Anti Theft System. Little resistor embedded in the key. Not in your '86 though.

Uh...not unless your ignition key is in your '89 Vette engine.

Anyone that said there's no such thing as a stupid question needs to check in here.

Does your engine have any chips in it?

The '89 had VATS. Unless the chip was burned with VATS disabled, it's going to give you trouble.
This is why we always tell people to include the pertinent information!!!

I'm sure you came out of your mother's womb knowing what VATS was, and never had to ask any questions because you were born with infinite knowledge.
There are some people who actually learn by asking questions and getting answers. So next time you feel like being a dick, why dont you move on to the next thread, and share your vast ******* skills there.

I'll keep an eye out for anything you post.

If you really believe the only way to gain knowledge is to ask questions...eg. no way you'd ever pick up a book or (gasp) use the search button, you're in for a tough life.

It's funny to see inferiors try to create advantage through name calling and blatantly false comparisons. Doesn't work, but it's funny to watch.

What comparison is that, the comparison between you and an *******?? I think it's appropriate. Here's one you should know "If the dick fits..."

Profanity, abstract reasoning...the last resort of a weak minded individual, trying frantically to express himself in a meaningful way...and failing at it once again.

The latent homosexuality projection is a common defensive posture closet homosexuals put up to conceal their own preferences after fears arise that they've become visible to others.

The shame is clearly becoming unbearable to him, and he projects this anger by creating pseudo-targets in the form of others whom he feels have insulted him. By casting a homosexual image on others, he feels he is able to direct attention away from his own inner workings.

Keep on doing it if it helps you keep on living semi-happily, but it doesn't change the fact that reading books and using the Search button is a better way to learn.

Thanks for the 9th grade psychology lesson.
It looks like the thesaurus you got for christmas is really paying for itself.
You know what else is "the last resort of a weak minded individual"? Trolling around for me.
If the only way you can make yourself happy is by following around some faceless guy around the internet, you might have some latent-homosexuality issues yourself.

Just a lot of useless undergrad Psych courses I had to take, which occasionally have applicability.

It's a well docoumented part of the human psyche to see our own faults in others.

I project my own insecurities regarding my mechanical knowledge onto people who ask lame questions, in the form of sometimes-insulting questions. In most cases it has a good outcome, such as this one...it led the guy to take a critical look at his hybridized car and post the missing details that helped get him the right answer.

In similar behavior, you're projecting your latent homosexuality, and that's a commendable first step in embracing what you've clearly been struggling to hide. I commend your courage in coming forward!

In real life, away from the computer, do you stalk guys like you do on the net?
Like when you leave "the rainbow club" at night, and you see that certain special fellow, do you follow him around for a while, go where he goes?

Im just trying to look after you, my friend...
In real life if you do what you are doing now, you can get a restraining order on yourself.

We're passing beyond my ability to help you, and my IRS paperwork needs finishing, so I'm checking out of this discussion.

Continue to post away if it helps vent the anger you're masking, it's healthy as long as you recognize the source.

I'd encourage you to print this thread and bring it to your psychologist, so he/she can help you continue the path you've set out upon and come to terms with this issue that has clearly been causing you anxiety.

It won't go away on its own, you'll have to confront the feelings you've been hiding, but you'll finally be at peace with yourself.

Best wishes for a healthy reconciliation of your sexuality!

Dude, youre effing boring...
I throw out intersting, clever stories and comebacks, and you keep regurgitating the same tired lines over and over.
At least throw-out something mildly amusing before this thread gets locked.

Cali, are you klumb's bitch or something? I was always under the impression that one fended for oneself if called out, unless something offended you. And typically, those that do get their fluff up, don't typically resort to strait out personal bashing. It's stupid. The wya to do it is like this https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=271828

This lesson is free, for the next one, it'll cost $19.95 plus $4.95 s&h.

My post to you was rude, not ignorant.

I'll add that you want to be sure you tell the chip guy you're working with exactly what year TPI harness you're running.

If they burn you a bin that's calibrated for a cold-start injector (pre-'89 TPI) you'll have a hard starting engine...your '89 Vette setup uses the 8 service injectors for this, not a dedicated injector like the older TPIs do.

I wasted 5 minutes of my life reading that post, and while I'm sure you thought you were funny, I cant find one sentence where you were funny, or informative.
The part where you cut and paste the definitions for investigate and hearsay was classic though (hmmm...cant find the smiley for extreme sarcasm).

I mean, think about it dude, pasting a link to one of your old threads where you were arguing with someone else?? How lame is that?

Ohh...and I also like the way you call me Klumb's bitch...but here comes Red Devil to kevinc's rescue (can you look up the word hypocritical for me?), even though we already stopped.

No, actually you were annouying in your attacks. You may have also noted that I put something in there for Kev too. Do I need to put up the definition of facetious?

Your first post made your 'point'. I linked that bitching fest to point out that you can make your points in an argument without resorting to personal attacks as you are so apparently prone to do.

Arguing points isn't all bad, but personal attacks are, and will continue to be, frowned upon. Take that thread -in context- instead of trying to use it as a steping stone to show off your 'coolness'.
