Hey does anyone know if you can use a 1991 intake on pre 87 SBC heads?I know the center bolt holes are at the wrong angle but I already machined those so they will fit.Hasnt anyone seen this problem before?

Do you have a gasket down on that? It looks familiar, it's harmless. I had a similar one on my engine, but I was using different gaskets for an HSR so there was "gasket" there if you follow. don't worry about it, as long as the ports line up and seal you'll be fine choking that engine off with TPI

My thought is to go with an LT4 manifold with the bolt pattern adapted for regular heads. That way, you maximize the potential of the heads and retain the driveablity of EFI.

or chop up an LT1 intake instead. or just do it right and buy an HSR

Sure the gaskets aren't on there upside down?

Why would you put a TPI on any engine with good heads? The TPI is worthless above 5000 rpms even with aftermarket parts.

I wasn't able to get a clean shot due to the SR, but mine doesn't have that gap.
