Listen I have a 165 ECM out of a 86 VETTE but i want a 7730 ecm. Got one out of a Grand am. Will any one be willing to trade me a prom with the VATS eliminated for this ECM. I know nothing about tunning and dont want to buy the equipment to do so as i am computer dumb( I am typing this with one fingure)

I have no idea what you are trying to do. You can't swap EPROMs between different year 3rd gens... let alone different models!

 

I think what he means is that he wants to trade a corvette memcal out of a 165 for a 350 memcal w/o vats for a 730.

Give me some info on your motor and ill see what i can do about just copying a .bin file to a eprom (no customizing) and you pay for all shipping?

 

What is the 730 ecm going into? Another grand-am, F-body, or beretta. Are you going to repin it or something?

 

The 730 is going into a 94 S-10 350 TPI 5 SPD and yes I did repin my factory harness to work with the TPI that is all done just looking for a prom so i wont have to get the VATS module and the other components needed. The engine is stock with a RV cam (nothing special at all I already had it in another truck with TBI and it ran fine)

Jr. Here's the deal.
Lack of Post skills relates to your inability to put your thread in the right Tech Board and Your inability to title your thread correctly.
As for retarded title, It's you and people like you that make these Tech Board's a little anoying. Sure I looked, but I wouldn't have if you titled your thread "Stock Computer Prom Swap Question," or something. You would have still gotten the help you needed. Most of all you wouldn't have some *** Hole taking over your thread.
The other thing you're not thinking of is other members with similar problems or issues. When people search, your title is the first thing people see. If your title sucks, which your's does, people most likly will pass it by.

Don't you want to help other people find answers easier??
