bad injector?

OK I have been searching on here for a while, not quite getting the info i need. I just did the ohm test on my injectors, all were around 16.7-16.9 accept for one that was 13.9 all the threads i have read said that the injectors should all be close together. my question is is this close enough or is the injector bad. I have been having an intermitent hicup while at idle and feels sluggish almost like a miss but im not sure. If not the injector i need some advice.

Yep, thats a bad one. 85 to 88 bosch injectors should have just over sixteen ohms. I would consider the 13.9 as out of range.

Alright but this is on a '91 but im going to assume they would be very similar. So that one is bad, now the question is replace all of the injectors with an aftermarker set or just replace the one with a factory one? And if aftermarker what brand, i have seen alot of bad stuff about accel injectors on here so i think i would stay clear of those. What is the general opinion about the SVO injectors?

I just put a set of SVO injectors in my CAR. Trouble free, and a good fit. I would just go with a new set of SVO's.

i also am thinking about buying new injectors and have been considering either the svo 24# or venom 24# or 26#. Do the svo work with the stock chip? Has anyone tried the venoms? I have and 88 iroc with 357 cu inch. slp siamesed runners, mild head porting, slp 1 3/4 headers, dynomax 3 inch exhaust. comp cams extreme energy cam. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

13.9 ohms on a Multec is still servicable. Did you measure resistance to the case (ground) on a high resistance scale? Any reading there indicates a potential problem.

I did the measuring with a digital multimeter nothing fancy though i measured just my touching one contact with the red and the other with the black. U say it can be services, what would be done to the injector? cleaning,or something more complex and would it be worth it? The dealership replaces several throughout the first few years (mostly under waranty) so is it even worth servicing them? I don't want to spend money on servicing them and then have others start to fail on me. the car has almost 175,000 on it .

Hey Vader what was the deal with servicing a bad injector? And with the resistance being low does that mean it is dumping too much fule in or not enough or none at all? The car is really lagging and cant even get it to down shift to 2nd if i stop on it, the best i can get is out or OD to 3rd. please help.

The solenoid coil resistance has little to do with the injector flow rate, unless the resistance is below the servicable threshold or ridiculously high. The conventional wisdom is that Multec injectors are not worth the cost of cleaning and flow matching, but you should probably ask a professional about that:
