hsr, heads, cams
i have done some research now for some time and have concluded that a holley stealth ram, heads, and cam is what i need to be at 12's. i need some imput on what heads to buy and cam to go with the stealth ram. i also have a bad MAF sensor and before i buy a new one was wondering if i should wait incase any of these parts need an upgraded MAF. i already have header and exhuast. and also am buying a ram air 2 should i get with or without airbox will it be affected by the HSR
thanks james

Before you going on talking about stuff your barely know about, IE heads, StealRam ect.. make sure your car is in solid mechaincal order. A tuned stock car is usually faster than a crappy tuned, non stock car.
search man. tons of info ou tthere. ive been searching all day and found that a HSR coupled with AFR, or TFS heads, with a hot cam(not the best)will net a 12et you can use a 224-230 for comp or a custom grind. again search and it will fill in the blanks. i used HSR cam combos i think and got tons.

stock
the car is stock and all original 1990 trans am gta with 50,000 miles on it. there is actually headers and exhuast already on it. the only problem is the stock paint is bubbling. if you know so much shed some light on me and help out i have researched for 3 weeks now and am sick of reading so much. i just want a cam part number and i will probably go with afr 195cc heads and the stealth ram. no where on here does it say if the ram air 2 hood wit hairbox get in way of holley stealth ram. thanks james

Have a Ram Air hood with HSR but no air box but I would imagine it would be not problem.

You WILL need to burn your own proms to get it to run right with that combo so save some $ for that equipment and do it right or the HP rewards will be less than expected.

If you want to be fast, get a higher stall converter and a cam matched to that and the heads.
The airbox should be fine, but you will have to mod it slightly to get the MAF to sit between it and the HSR.

Only 3 weeks and your already tired of reading?
**** im working on 3 years and loving every minute of it... (4got my PW on my 1st account)
hah my girlfriend hates TGO cuz i spend more time here then with her and we live together...
If your going to do all those mods your going to want to address gearing and traction issues as well... Hooking up makes a huge difference in ET's
