Any ideas on rwhp?
I finally got the motor together and installed. This is the combo I went with:
zz4 short block
comp cam x264 with 1.6rr
89 Corvette aluminum heads, ported
stock intake, ported
SLP siamesed runners
ported plenum
edelbrock headers
9 bolt 3.27 gears
The motor is still in break in so I haven't really gone into it, but feel pretty good. Any insight into the power this combo may make? I have attached a picture of the motor.
Thanks,

Hey, looks great. I have a quick question for ya, whats that sensor above the oil filter? I hope its not the fuel pump switch (for rewiring my car's sake).

Hard to guess without knowing the level of porting involved, valve size, and transmission type to name a few.

Thanks to all for your feedback. I'm hoping for 280 rwhp, but we'll see next year. The car is in hybernation for the winter.
J Dahl-the zz4 short block was $2100, the cam and all new matching valve train was $800. I bought the heads back in '89, so they got cleaned up, ported and assembled for $550. Overall, a little more than what I wanted to spend, but I've had the car since new, 18 years now and just could not part with it. Anyway it runs great and I'm happy with it. Just some Eprom tunning left.
3.8TransAm: Why reverse the runners? If you are refering to the cold start runner, its there, just not visible in the picture.
Thanks again to all and Happy Holidays !!
