aftermarket heads

do all aftermarket heads have the holes for the cooling fan temperature switch, and the engine temperature sensor (guage overheat)?

I dont know for sure, but I would say yes, if you order a head for the correct year of your engine it should be drilled accordingly.

My Trick Flow and AFR heads did.

my canfields didnt have any sensor ports, and i believe afr's dont come with 'em unless u ask for em.

can you get heads drilled for them by a machinist if you order heads w/out them already?

Most heads do. The temp sensor fits in the same hole as the coolant fan switch. When you put the heads on either side of the block it's in the same location. No difference! You may need to buy a larger or smaller temp switch depending on the head or use an adapter.

it wouldn't take a machinist to drill the holes. just a 1/2 drive drill and a 3/8 pipe tap from home depot...
