she went 14.3 @ 99 mph

60' was 2.3 (it was my first time running)

bald street tires..firt run was 14.5 then the last 2 were 14.3's

shes deff got more in her...i had the timing at base 8, so i can deff change that..get some real good tires too...hopefully ill get some 13's

I was happy though, i beat an ls1 camaro, he went 14.6...but then he ran a 13.2 later on (he spun all the way through 3rd gear)

i dont know the weather down there or the density altitude/etc...nor do i really know what my hometown track altitude.

but on a cool day i go 13.9's at 100mph and its a stock L98 with shortie headers/catback, 2800stall. 1.88-1.93 60 foots on street tires

you should have 104mph, atleast i say. big cam and ported TPI. needs more tunning and timing etc... something aint right there. also, consider a aftermarket TPI. stock TPI is chocking that thing alot. thats a big cam for TPI, but would be suitable for aftermarket larger tubed runner TPI setup.

yea thats what im planning to do, get a set of better runners.

as far as timing goes...any suggestions? i set it at base 20 once and as far as audible knocks go, i heard nothing. But im thinking that may be alittle high...so maybe around 16 base?

my tires are bald and out of balance (the rears)...vibrates real real bad past 80mph..so im sure that wasnt helping things when i did 99mph.

It was real cold last night too so i figure if i had had good tires and got traction, i would have had some much lower times.

I'd be suprised if you could go much past 10 base timing w/o knock. - Dans87GTA ran a 13.79 with roughly the same mods as you. -
355, KB flat-tops
ported plenum/base, airfoil
adjustable fuel pressure reg.
220/230, 497/502 hyd roller
bowl blended heads
Flowtech headers, 3" exhaust w/ Blowmaster
Ram-air hood/box/K&N
3.27 9-bolt
stock chip/tune
- the one plus, built 700r4, vette converter

he was also cutting 1.9X-2.00 60fts...

sounds good though. - work on the launch

Those ported stock heads has got to go. Throw them over the fence. Trick Flow heads will put you into the 12 right out of the box with an aftermarket base & runners and 52mm TB.

heads/cam/intake make your hp, the rest you just build to stay together...

yea i know, i was just on a budget...most of the work was already done to the car when i got it.

the car needed alot...motor and body work wise. So i didnt really focus too much on the engine..i figured it had a good amount of power as it was. Now i need to work on the body..its ugly as sin. So maybe later on ill grab a new set of heads and what not.

AHH!! too much lift for your tpi.

You have atlleast .4 in your 60 ft alone. Go Carb and run 13 flat.
