Back From The Dyno

local car club forum had a dyno day at a local shop for getting some baselines done...so for 60$ canadian i got 2 pulls and 2 printouts which is a pretty good deal....anyways onto the results

Car is a 1991 Firebird Formula LB9 and a T5... mods are.. Custom CAI, TB bypass and a Ported Plenum (just the EGR shroud things)

the best of the 2 pulls was a 206.4 RWHP and 291.6 RWTQ.... i was pleased with the results.....

heres a video of the pull

Hey thats not bad at all for a near stock 305tpi. You are pretty much making the same hp as a stock 350tpi.

LB9 stick cars that got the good cam make good power. if yours isnt a G92 car, then its rated at 205hp/285 torque.

your putting more than that at the wheels with mild mods. seems like TPI ratings are more rwhp figures than crank. these motors are underated

thats a good number. 206whp is nice for those mods, but that 291 torque is way up there.

get some headers/exhaust and see what it does.

hmm i figured it might be a bit quicker than that. 92mph? makes me wonder what i'm puttin down at the wheels. my L98 has 150K miles on it and only headers/catback/CAI with 2800 stall and i'm doing 100mph and 13.9s

150K and running 13.9's is insane for that car. Id say your putting down around 230 or so.

i figured it be more than that for 100mph trap speeds in a auto with 3.27 gears. its a beast. i wanna see what it will do on slicks 13.9's is kinda weak but i blame that on gearing for the most part. first gear is deep but 2nd drops too much. i'm gonna get her dyno'd in the spring/summer just to see whats up with it.

92 aint too bad for bone stocker. those mild mods would free up some hp but i dont know how much a difference it make in the 1/4. maybe 10-15hp dependng on the porting to the plenum. i'd say your capable of 94mph traps easy. thats good for mid 14's. drop that 60 foot down and you should see those times

yea... 440 treadwear tires.. with normal street PSI is quite difficult to cut a decent 60 foot time... but if i could hit mid 14's with just these mods with some new tires (ordered them on wednesday) i'd be pretty happy...

How much do you think you have? Are you going to 3.42's?
I see your times are great but if you think about it this way. It come stock with 230. U have headers and a cat-back which gives you plus 15-25hp. So I dont see how you can be much over 255 at the flywheel. Maybe its just me its been a long day......
