If you're using stock heads, I think that cam's lift is too great. It'll hit the valve guides causing all sorts of problems.

I installed a ZZ4 cam in my 91' chevy truck along with TPI. The motor in my truck is a 93' caprice crate motor with stock iron heads. No problem! I believe the heads are the same or similiar to L98 heads. Don't know anything about the heads on a 305 though. I also have a ZZ4 crate motor in my 67' Camaro with TPI as well. I set this car up in 1999, and have had no problems after 7 years and 85000 miles.
The cam works very well with TPI!!! You don't loose any low end performance and idles nice too.

I have the ZZ4 cam in my car with stock 083 heads and a mixed set of 1.5/1.6 rockers. The 1.6s are on the intake. The valve guides were NOT milled down and it works just fine. The safe limit was .060" for retainer to guide clearance and my exhaust was running .045" IIRC. So its close, but the most it'll do (in my case) is bump the seal.

Im planning to use this combination: world products s/r torquer heads, ZZ4 cam, ported TPI intake with 52mm BBK, 1.5 roller rockers,21lbs injectors, Haltech e6gmx. Hopefully it will run in summer

This can easily be remedied by buying some offset locks and a spring shim. As long as you have at least 0.050"-0.060" before coil bind you should be OK.

Just bought the cam 1 month ago price $192.95
They are a GM performance outlet!!!
My motor was already a hydraulic roller block, reused all lifters etc.
