Will this K&N Setup work on my car?

I wanna know, If I can take my K&N TPI Filter (the one with the chrome on it) and stick it right on the throttle body, like ive seen some ppl do on this site, you know, how on stock cars there's plastic tubing from the throttle body to the stock air box, on my car the air box is gone and there's the TPI filter in it's place.

Will that work under my stock hood?
Is there any good or bad effects in doing this?

Im going mainly for looks, and to get rid of that ugly plastic tubing.

If you need to know what it looks like, look for altor's post in this link,

i dont think u can do it anyway, since you have a maf sensor, ator has speed density setup. 90 - 92 had that setup i believe.

if you don't have a MAF and no one has swapped the ecm, then you have a problem....
