Biggest cam with Cali emission?!

I was thinking about the comp 220/230. Do you guys that I can pass the sniffer with that stick? It would be tuned, heavily, quite possibly detuned to make sure it passed. When I get the car running I will also be looking into some realtime emulation stuff. But what do you guys think? Anyone running a similar cam with good results as far as smog? I was gonna go with a LPE 219 but decided to go a little larger. Thanks guys

You should have no problem with the proper tune. We have guys in our local club with bigger cams passing smog with flying colors.

How do you like those heads? I was thinking about a smiliar setup to yours. 224/230 with dart heads on a forged 355 bottom end. ported TPI.

They work fine for me. Just the exhaust was ported. If I were you, I would go with the 230-238 .113LSA XFI Comp Cam to make some real hp over the 224-230. Just get a good tune and you'll be fine on passing smog.

That is amazing. Actually the biggest I think I would go would be with your cam. I don't want to push it. My car is being built for a fun weekend cruiser that will catch alot of other cars off gaurd and give them a good run for their money. If I can get into the high 12's to mid 12's, that is plenty fast for me. BUt thanks for all the info. Your car runs excellently clean!
