Fuel Pump Bypass wire?

Can anyone tell me where to find the fuel pump bypass wire on an 88 305 TPI Iroc? I've been told several times that it is a tan wire that should be hanging over by the heater box. All I've found was a tan wire with a weatherpack connecter in between (connected). Any pics?

Thanks!

I don't remember this, but this is what I found.

The Fuel Pump Prime Connector is located in the Assembly Line Diagnostic Link (ALDL) connector terminal "G". The ALDL is located on bottom of Instrument Panel (I/P) hush panel, to the right of steering column.

There is a fuel pump test connector either under the hood or at the ALDL connecter as indicated above... If there isn't a pin in the right spot at the ALDL connector, look under the hood (on a TPI it should be by the fuel pump and cooling fan relays at the drivers side) for a red wire with a black female blade connector. Apply +12VDC to that, and the pump should engage..

That must be why it shows two orange power wires right before the oil presure saftey switch in the diagram... one of them runs up in the engine bay for diagnostics.

I believe the underhood connector is green and it looks a lot like the cc carb M/C solonoid dwell connector and is probably somewhere near the battery.

That connector is the Set timing disconnect.
1991L98G92 last post shows the Fuel Pump Bypass, just apply 12v to it with the key off. This is where my 88 has it.
