Passenger side valve cover
Ok, just noticed something while tinkering under the hood. Whatever used to be in the opening of the passenger side valve cover is now missing. The TB mod has been done, so I'm assuming that's why. The underside of the hood is wet with fresh oil at this exact location so I'm thinking it's blowing out this hole. Do I just need a breather on the thing or does it need to be closed off? If I throw a breather on it won't it get soaked with oil, or does a mechanism in the breather attatchment prevent this?

Positive Case Ventilation. You should have a hose that goes from the cover up to the throttle body. I'll see if I can try and find a picture. You do need it back. Other than the mess you are ending up with under the bonnet.

There is no hose. The TB now has a fitting that effectively blocks it off. The car is heavily modified and supercharged, so I'm thinking this was done for a reason. It runs fine without this stuff hooked up beyond the fact that I'm blowing oil out the valve cover opening.

Its a complete system as said above. Can you live without that side, yes. Do a search on PVC it will answer alot for you.
You can also by filters that fit in there that will let it breath, but catch the oil.
