'86 TPI, sensors?
I don't know much about TPI's, is there a sensor for the exhaust?
if there is will it run without it? I have long tube headers without the threaded port, and I plan on running dual exhaust instead of Y-pipe into a cat. I can make a port for the sensor if it needs one, but will it work fine if it's only on 1 header?

they sell weld in bungs for O2 sensors. mine has block huggers and both the headers feed to the same exhaust pipe. i'm not sure whether or not they HAVE to have sampling from both sides i would assume it does. but i'm sure somebody here knows the correct answer.

This is where I put mine. I have flowtech longtubes and the sensor is in the collector of the drivers side header and it works fine. It is possible that you may need to switch to heated o2 sensors though if your computer does not see the o2 sensor. The farther away from the exhuast ports you get the cooler the exhaust is and the harder it is for the o2 sensor to work. I have not had any problem though. I am also running a true dual 3" exhaust on my Monte SS.

ask him if a stock ECM can control different size fuel injectors accurately without programming.
That's the main question that's bothering me about this engine swap! Thanks man

tpi90rs, No, the ECM can't control different size injectors w/out programming. However, burn your own chips and you can use many different size injectors. I've gone from stock 19# injectors on the original 305 to 24# injectors on the 355 with SLP runners to 30# injectors with the HSR intake.
