wanna get some head...s

what up guys.. i just got my financial aid check and want to put about 2k into my camaro. i was looking at getting some new heads but not sure. i want to get some nice flowing ones that can give some good power, but i wasnt sure on what to get. i got a 350 tune port thats all stock. should i get a new cam and intake manifold to go with it?? will my headers bolt up to the new heads? is there any good package deals that come as a set?
thanks..... nick

Your title is a little inappropriate.

There are dozens of great heads. If you want to spend 2k then go with some AFR Eliminators. Handles up to .600 lift so you can run a crazy cam if you want. Yes your headers will bolt up.

Or you can purchase some lesser expensive heads and get a Stealth Ram intake and ditch the TPI. Since TPI is so restrictive, the AFR's performance will be minimal.

these are decent heads. i have them on my 383 and i'm very happy with them. i would also do the lt4 hot cam from GMPP and better flowing intake base, runners, and 1.6 full roller rockers. if you have enough left over i would also stick a new throtle body on there that flows better.

i have a 383 with a similar combo and i'm over 450 so i think it should be able to yield you over 360.

only advantage to aluminum in my eyes is weight reduction and heat dissipation.

the down falls of aluminum are that if you don't have the proper head gasket you can have head gasket issues (because aluminum and cast iron (the block) expand at different rates), if you overheat the car even slightly you have a very good chance of warping the heads, and the bolt holes are easily stripped by over tightening or cross threading.
