about 360 hp
my goal is to get around 360 hp to the wheel. i got a 350 tune port that is all stock. going to throw some new heads, high flow intake man and runners in but not sure if this will get me there. i was going to throw a cam in but changed my mind because i was concerned about it not being smog legal, and the fact that i didnt want a chip burned. i want to know if this is a smart way to go and if its even possible to get to my hp goal.

a blower might be his only "street legal" rout. it's illegal to have NOS hooked up while driving on the street in most states.

I love things like this, where someone wants a very respectable horsepower number but doesnt want to change the cam or get their computer re-programmed......
I think to get to the HP numbers you want without spending loads of money, you're gonna have to get a cam and having a chip burned for your setup would also be important.......

360 at the wheels? Your going to need about 450hp at the flywheel your more then likely not going to get there with a naturally aspirated 350 that is a daily driver.420-30hp seems more realistic with a TPI 350 ( You will need Stealth Ram or something like it). It would be easier with a 383. CHP did a build up a while back where a guy had a 383 thirdgen with serious heads & cam and I think he made around 460hp but he had all the bells and whistles and spent 6k plus on the 383.Either way it won't be done with just bolt-ons to your motor unless you spray with a 150+ shot of nitrous.

I've got $1K just in my cooling system.
Speed costs money!!
Horsepower costs money!!
Once you dive in, there's no going back!
I say this as I plan my next engine upgrade. I'm shooting for 600 HP naturally aspirated with a Holley Stealth Ram. So far I can only manage 560 HP according to my computer modeling. To get the 600 I will probaly have to go to an aftermarket FI system. BUT, a blower is a possibility.
