intake and cam ;)

i've added a few things: AS&M runners( ive ported the stock base and pinlum to match) and a crane Z cam (218/230 .459/.486 112LSA). ill admite that its big for a stock headed TPI but it sounds GREAT. tell me what you guys think.
btw it has a stock chip in it that will be replaced with a custum one.

Your stock heads are killing your power potential.

DId you use a older block with the tpi on it or you put a flat tappet in place of a roller?i have a 447" flat tappet and it has a slight lobe to it and i want to upgrade and the guy that did my motor said he has a 480"lift cam that would work great .What exhaust do you have?

thanks for the compliments.

it actually has a stock exhaust with headers and no cat. a cat-back will be one of the next mods. the stock head are going to find there way out when i can afford some 180 AFRs and maybe a 383 stroker kit. ill probably get the base extrude honed. it is a factory flat tappet motor. 85L98.
hey nighthawk how much hp sould i be pulling with this?

Wow that sounds really good for a stock exhaust!!!!!
Im not trying to be an *** but there is no such thing as a stock L98 in 85 you might want to do some research on what motor you really have because if it is a 350 then its not the stock motor and if its the "stock" motor then it is a 305.

it is... it came out of a 85 corvette. it might not be an L98, but it is a 350. i check it when we put it in.
here's the cam http://store.summitracing.com/partde...2&autoview=sku
the idle is with the stock chip. it idles around 700 rpms, but it surges a little when its cold. it needs a new choke.

Looks good man! Sounds really nice to boot. I had better get to finishing my car up to stem the tide of jealousy I'm feeling right now

It's nice to see that the runners really do look stock. Here in CA my car gets the smogging equivalent of a night in prison as "the pretty guy", so the more stock-appearing the better.

Post up when it's tuned. Nice work!

That sounds killer!!!! If it was mine I consider leaving it like that. If you add a cat back the tone may change alittle.

It does sound alot like a Borla, mayh be you should think about getting a Borla cat back, might keep the same tone.

That sound is making me consider keeping my ZZ9 cam I got.
