dual MAF for TPI 3RD GEN ? is it possible? has anyone tried this?

the idea is to make the throttle body witha a adapter into two seperate pieces. one butterfly for each MAF. I will be spiicing into the current harness and in simple terms put a MAF on each new throttle body that has been split into two.a MAF for each throttle body butterfly plate . I will then run the duct a y shaped aftermarket unit(available from corvette) to the new throttle body that has a new divider for each side. Now there will be a MAF on the other ends on the y pipe. I will then run duct work down through to the fog lights for a ram air. Is this possible to make these TPI torque monsters finally have top end power were they always seem to drop off at the H.P. numbers. Has this been attempted? am I on to something here?

How do you expect this to work? What is the ECM going to be reading?

Personally, I think that its better to build a single but larger OD MAF sensor.

Get an LS1 MAF, converter, and tweak the injector constant/tables so the ECM can see past 255 gms/sec. The 255 gms/sec part is what usually holds the motor back. You can also fudge the fueling, but it would be better if the ECM could actually see the true airflow.

The Converter affects accuracy and resolution.

Mod a later model TBI PCM to run in PFI mode and run Dimented24x7's MAF code in it, using a LS1 MAF. Re-pin the harness from the 165 to the 427.

Cold engine WOT acceleration, a slight bog, but the AE fueling still needs work (wet manifolds suck when they are cold).

This is just messing around with a warmed up engine.
