Here's the link to Extrude Hone explaining the process. They're the only place I know of that does this. Click on "auto" at the bottom,,, then "your parts" on that screen for pricing.

Thanks BadSS for the link. I emailed them. Looks like almost $1k after shipping for the Plenum, runners, and intake base. But if I can retain a stock look from the outside, it may be worth the $$ to me. I'd like to have a sleeper that looks factory.

Extrude Hone developed the Abrasive Flow Machining process more than twenty-five years ago to enhance the performance of automotive racing engines.
That's complete B.S. The technology is even older than that, and it was initially developed to finish metalworking dies, not intake manifolds and heads.

That's tantamount to claiming the vertical mill or hydraulic shaper/planer was developed to shave heads.

Gotta love these marketing "geniuses." What's even more sad is the number of people who believe it.

Yep,,, Extrude Hone invented the process over 40 years ago. Guess instead of "developed" they should have used "began using",,, to make that statement less abrasive.

it may have been patented only 20 years ago, but they cant say "patented technology", cuz that doesnt sound cool at all.

thanks for the link to the site.

hey Vader, do you know anything extra about this technology, or somebody else on here may know more about it?

Yeah, it'd be nice to know what type of BHP I will gain with this done.

BTW, has anyone had this done yet on a stock TPI (plenum, runners, base)? If so, could you feel a difference? I understand that these cars can be starved for air at higher RPM's. Will this solve that problem? I understand that I'll need a bigger TB also. I'd like some feedback from someone who's done it before spending $1K + $435 for AZ. S&M runners and $525 for a 58mm TB. Thanks, Daniel U
Also, I found a 58mm TB through Summit for $289.95 Is there that much more quality in the AZ. S&M unit? Anyone had any experience with these or any other companys? I'd hate to waste money. My priorities are stock appearance and performance. Some input please!
