24#er's are the most I would order unless you have a SERIOUS engine you're putting 30#er's on .... 24#er's are a bit much for a stock engine ...

ive installed them on a formula 350 (the #24 lbers)
they are a little shorter than the stock ones so youll want to use the upper groove on the top of the injector to locate the locking ring

btw youll also want to note that they are rated at 38psi(?) i think.. and most tpi systems run a little more pressure so youll actually be flowing a little more

Pablo is correct. 24lb injectors really flow 26lb/hr according to GM standards. The 30lb injectors flow 33lb/hr according to GM standards.

I am running 30lb/hr injectors on my MiniRam motor and she idles like a kitten and runs great!

I should point out that the reason that my car idles and runs so well with 30lb injectors is due to the PROM tuning I have done on my car. If you are interested in burning your own PROMs just visit the PROM burning board.

Re: Anyone using ford injectors?

I'm running the Bosch/Ford 19# injectors on a 305 TPI, and it runs great, maybe little better than the original 85 stockers. At least, by my butt-o-meter.
I have a set of the same 24# injectors to go in my Miniram III project. Not fired up yet.
The Bosch injector is supposed to have a better spray pattern.

Re: Anyone using ford injectors?

i am using the #24 injectors i find they work really well, runs better with them and a noticeable difference while driving IMO i found they were a tad shorter than the stock injectors but just make sure their seated properly.

Re: Anyone using ford injectors?

About the time this thread was created, I had some ford #19's in my dakota. When I sold it I pulled them, later put them in my 3.4l camaro motor.

They are now sitting on a shelf since one got plugged and 19 isnt enough for a 350 TPI.

Re: Anyone using ford injectors?

I am running 19#'s on my 305 TPI and have actually noticed a decrease in feel of the strength of the engine. I was told that the Ford injectors flow a little less fuel than the stock injectors from one of the guys at JEGS, SUMMIT and a engine builder in my hometown. I even did a fuel pressure test and found PSI dropped to around 35psi. I want to get a fuel pressure regulator but have been hearing bad things about them from a manufactoring standpoint (they have been leaking fuel and causing fires). I don't know, ACCEL is going through a new manufacture for their injectors and I was not able to pick those up due to needing to have my car running. The Ford injectors are very good in my opinion and but they do flow a little less. Just throwing in a personal experience.
