More Power!

What can I do to get more power. I am going to save up this summer and try to get more power out of my engine. I am not afraid to change my mods. I just want to see some power gains to get me into the low 12 without any power adders. I would like to beat my uncles Ls2 powered '94 Rx7. Let me know what I should do to get alot of power gains. Remember that I am in Cali and have to pass smog. Thanks Guys. Mods are in my Sig.

Re: More Power!

Man w/o power adders? With all the stuff you got i don't think you can get any huge gains like you would with nitrous or a supercharger. I would upgrade to 58mm TB, and 1.6 roller rockers, and some open longtubes. Whats your rearend gearing? Maybe some ladder bars or something too.

Re: More Power!

Are you running stock pistons? I'd think that would be the next big change for you.

Seems to me that you might need more fuel with your current setup.... 24lb. injectors are probably maxed out at WOT.

The 2032 is not as high lift as I 'd think the Trick Flows could handle. 1.6 Rockers may be a wise choice.

Get an Ostrich/TunerPro RT and tune the engine yourself!

Re: More Power!

Pistons aren't stock. I have a zz4 clone short block. I was thinking about a 100 shot, but I would like to get my car into the high 12's or so, and then spray into the 11's.

Re: More Power!

Without power adders and having to pass emissions is going to be hard.

Re: More Power!

I am really hoping for high 12's, but I think it will put down a 13.2 or so.

Re: More Power!

well, here in chico, every friday and saturday night, people go out and cruise. if a cop thinks you are a street racer or have a modified car, he will tell you to pop your hood. So everything on my car is legal.

Re: More Power!

Why dont you want to use power adders? A pro charger or nitrous would show a significant gain in power w/ reasonable cost and work.

Re: More Power!

you have no need for a 58 mm TB . Your 52 mm will do anything you need in a N/A setup

Re: More Power!

What do you guys think the car will run on a good tune? Also, what could I do with a 100 shot at the wheels?
