Throttle Body Sticks

At operating temp, the throttle body sticks when I release the accelerator pedal. In the past, I've sprayed penetrating oil on the return spring and it'll be OK for a while, but will begin to stick again. When I disconnect the cable, the cable seems to move freely.

It's the original Throttle Body from the original TPI unit and has 137,000 miles on it. The bore was cleaned this summer.

Is there a more permanent fix? It will idle around 1200 RPM's till I pull on the accelerator pedal. Then the idle will return to normal.

Thanks

Rick

Maybe your throttle cable is binding.

Remove the air intake and spray penatrating oil all of the places where the throttle shaft passes through the throttle body.
