Smell gas in car...

Hello All,

I am getting a very strong raw gas smell in the car, even at highway speeds, especially after filling up (but not every time). Also when cornering, even if it's below half a tank. Seems to be coming from rear of car, but I'm not sure. Gas cap is 6 months old(could it be bad?), can't see any leaks. I know there was a recall, but I don't think it applied to my year. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken

Just a wild guess but check the fuel filter.

I'm not sure what years it covers, but on some 3rdgens there is a silent recall for leaking filler necks. could get you a new gas tank. try checking that filter on your charcoal canister as well.
