What mod next? Headers?

I'm thinking of putting edelbrock headers on my car for my next mod, or should I do something else first? Everything is in my sig. Also TPIS has these headers for $299 is this the best price, it just seems weird that they would have a good price on these when everything else they sell is overpriced.

For a 305 they are fine. I would recommend having them coated though. Coating them makes them last a lot longer, look better and reduces underhood tempertures. I have the Edelbrock TES on my L98 (coated) and after 1 1/2 years and 30,000 miles of all weather, they still look new and shiny.

Also, you are able to touch (or work near them) in 15 minutes. In fact, after 15 minutes, they are cooler than my intake runners.

I think one of the biggest restrictions in our cars is in fact, the exhaust, so you should fare well with headers. I would like headers to be my next mod, but I'm on a strick budget lately, but that would be my reccomendation.

Edelbrock headers would be a good choice. Despite what many people say on these boards, Edelbrocks are just as good as SLP's. After that you could try a AFPR, Accell ignition, shift kit, bigger gears, etc, etc..........

For the PITA headers are to install, you better get stainless steel...that is if you plan on keeping the car.

And there's only one company that has equal length headers that are stainless steel..
SLP

Yes, the TES Headers sound like a great choice.

If you get edelbrocks for God's sake get them coated if you plan on keeping your car more than a few years. I'd get the 1-5/8" SLPs though. There is a GP on and you can get a set for $350 which isn't much more than the edelbrocks plus you won't have to have them coated.
