Accel specifies their 21# injector as stock replacement for L98 applications. I bought a set before having my stockers cleaned & flowed, but haven't put 'em in yet. They're purrrdddyyy. :-)

One word of warning on the Accel injectors, the groove for the fuel rail clip doesn't go all the way around the injector casting like the factory injectors do:

Its' the second groove down on the Accel (yellow-top) injector. Shouldn't be a big deal w/ a Dremel to cut the groove the rest of the way, but something to keep in mind.
I got 'em from Summit.

I haven't installed 'em yet. Going to get a few baseline runs with the 22lb stockers first, then switch to these.

To those of you that are installing the new Accel injectors, you don't need to modify the grooves in the injectors. Simply use the upper groove that has full circumference. If you notice when you use the upper groove and install the injector in the fuel rail, the bottom o-ring will be in perfect alignment with the original injectors bottom o-ring.
If you attempt to modify the injector and use the lower groove for the retainer clip, the bottom o-ring will be raised too high and will not make a good seal in the intake manifold when the fuel rail is bolted down.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me and I will explain further.

I'm glad we're getting all this worked out before installation. Shadow, I take it you know by experience with the installation so thanks for that bit of advice. Did it cause any interference with the fuel rail being raised up some, or is it at stock height w/ respect to the intake manifold? Kevin, did you stick with the 21# or go up to the 23#'s and just buy an AFPR to install with it? Thanks for all your help, fellas.

Shadow- using the top groove for the retainer clip will locate the o-ring much shallower in the fuel rail than stock or the 2nd Accel groove. Take a look at the picture I posted earlier. Imagine sliding the Accel injector down until it's top groove is aligned w/ the stock injector's groove.

You'll be putting the o-ring almost 3mm shallower into the fuel rail...the side with gasoline @ 50psi in it. No way I'm doing that. Yes, the bottom o-ring will be ~1mm shallower in the intake boss...but it's vacuum on that side. Make your own call on this one.
I went with the 21# injectors, and already have a Holley AFPR. Just following TPIS advice on using smaller injectors at higher pressures to acheive better atomization than bigger injectors at lower pressures.
