Will 52mm throttle body work on L98?

I have a 90 corvette with the L98 6spd. i have already ported the stock intake base and opened up the exhaust,k+n,hotter ignition,1.6roller rockers, and custom prom. my question is will a 52mm throttle body help out any? I already have a new one on the shelf and i'm trying to decide whether to install it or sell it. thanks for the help.

It certainly couldn't hurt. If you install it now, you won't be looking for one when you add a few more mods that will need that 52mm.

You didn't say whether you've ported the plenum yet. You won't get the full flow of the 48 or 52 mm TBs until you grind down the EGR bump just behind the plenum entry holes, so do that first if you haven't already. I'd also open up the entry holes to 52 mm if you decide to go that route. I've already done this to my plenum even though I still run the stock TB. That way, it's a simple remove and replace when I step up to the 52.

If you already have one, go for it. But if you were looking to buy one, I'd say with your current mods, no.

I don't think you need a 52mm throttle body until you are above 300 rwhp. Plenty of LT1 cars make that with the same size throttle body. I'm going to do a heads/cam/exhaust (intake possible) swap and see how it runs before I consider a bigger TB.
