Right now I am stockpiling parts for my cam swap but I am very **** about things so everything will be new...gaskets,sensors,a/c lines, alt, waterpump, hoses, belts, machining the heads, cam, lifters, rockers, pushrods, headers and cat...there is of course all the standard tune up parts to go along with that...you don't have to go as crazy as I am but I feel that since you are taking it apart and doing lots of hours of labor why not spend a few hundred dollars more and put new parts back on instead of old tired ones. If you are on a restricted budget you will need a cam, lifters(you can reuse roller type),push rods, gaskets and you really should replace your valve springs lots of people don't then wonder why they have problems or poor performance from a more aggressive cam. Hope this helps you.

Custman hit it right on the nose. While you are in there, you might as well spend the money and get everything running well.

You will need the cam, new springs, retainers, valve seals, gaskets for the heads, intake, timing cover, and all the smaller ones through there, a new timing chain set, gasket sealant, thread lock, and like what was mentioned above, anything else you think you want to improve. Expect to spend about a week or more and spend about $500+.
