Ok, It seems the only way i can start my GTA 350TPI is with a shot of
starting fluid. Idles but seems to be doggy. If i shut the car off it wont start again unless i shoot some starting fluid in the TB. Anyone have any suggestions on a solustion?

oh yeah, I do here the fuel pump turn on

do a pressure test. it maybe just weak enough that it wont start but idle if assisted. Also check fuel filter.

Been there hthat happen, it is probably the fuel pump but I would start with the pump being that it is cheaper. Good luck

 

How many miles are on it? has it been sitting for a while or is it your daily?,mines @ 72,000 and I just started having similar problems

 

thanks guys.... I will change the fuel filter first, then move onto the pump if it dosnt fix the problem. I'll keep u posted on the results....

it already has a new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, injector harness and injectors

oh yeah, can someone tell me what the factory ID # is on the PROM?

 

on that car check the ign switch not the key lock but the switch it self my car was doing that and i changed it and boom worked like normal that switch slides to make contact to the pump and the rest of the system it can contact the rest and not the pump fully so u will get a low pressure ( like in the fail safe mode ) check that and also the wires to it

 

where is the switch located?
i will check out before i install a new pump. thanks
