Silver top Accell's
Hi,
Has any one had any recent experience with these new injectors ? I am toying with the idea of replacing my orginal Multec ones with these. I was told that the very problem prone yellow top injectors are the ones to steer clear of, and these new silver ones are good to go. Any and all reply's are welcome. Thanks

Re: Silver top Accell's
I've got "yellow top" Ford SVO's, and they've been good to me. Probably not the same one's you're talking about though. These flow about the same as stock for a 350 TPI but are higher quality, that's why I got 'em.
If you're looking to make huge horsepower they're probably not for you, but if you want a quality stock replacement with some room to move up, they're a good choice.

OK, thanks for the reply.
I am still uneasy about using the Ford EV1's, I have a SR intake so i do not want to be doing this again any time soon. I have done some searching and see that the EV1's are about 1/8 inch shorter than the stock pieces. is this correct and does this make for a more difficult install thank using the stock ones? Is any one using the Silver Tops? with great success?
oh, and one more question. Are the stock injectors low or high impedance? And the Ford ones as well?

I just put them on, car is runing fine I just need to retune to get to 100%
install just like stock, no problems at all.
I measured the ohms before putting them in all they were are all within the advertised numbers.

Re: Silver top Accell's
The Ford injectors are a drop in. I dont know where you're finding this 1/8" difference in height, the o-ring spacing is identical. In fact the earlier TPI injectors are near impossible to differentiate from them aside of color.

Re: Silver top Accell's
I stand corrected Guy's, I am just looking at the specs in summit and it states in there the Fords are Overall height 3.0450 and the Accel ones are 2.880" in Height. But everyone says they are a direct drop in so that is what i am going to go with.
Re: Silver top Accell's
I was reading some posts on here a while back, and it was either the LS1 or LT1 injectors that are slightly shorter than ours. I can't remember which ones for sure, but I think it was the LS1's. The SVO's are a direct swap, and everyone says they're great quality. Even if Accel has come out with a new injector, it's still an Accel product. I'm continually amazed that company even manages to stay afloat with the worthless crap they sell. Lol.

Re, injectors
I had recieved a e-mail from rich at cruzin perf. He said that the new silver tops are MUCH better in quality than the older yellow tops, heck maybe accel finally steped up with a better quality product
now i am unsure again on what to try.Ford or accel silver

That's good to know. I don't trust Accel at all, but I DO trust Rich from Cruzin. Had him clean/flow-match a set of injectors for me a while back. Does a great job, and definitely knows what he's talking about.
