85 to 89 TPI harness questions

Ok I swapped the harness in but there are plugs left over on the inside of the car by the ecm. The new ecm plugged in fine but what do these two other plugs do my new harness doesn't have the jacks to into these. Any ideas would be great thanks

I have an 85 IROC. I have about 2-3 extra plugs (whitish, clearish in color) in addition to the ECM. I currently do not know what they are for, but they are sure utilized in my car. Get in contact with me, I live about a half hour from you in Newton, you can take a look at what I have.

If your speedo is cable driven (I believe it is for '85) Pete is right. Those would be for the speedometer buffer as described.

Ok guys I tore the 85 harness down and tracked the wires one plug is for the injectors and the other is for the MAF burnoff relay the 89 harness eliminates all of that so basically they will serve no purpose. Thanks for the all the info guys. IROCROB thanks for that offer that was really
cool man hey by chance what year is your car
and are you in need of parts for it such as hood driver fender and tons of other IROC stuff let me know. meanta2001@yahoo.com

Guys I did this swap and you can't use the same wiring harness or Mass air sensor, you can use the harness but it will have to be modified check out www.speedscenewiring.com there are the guys that did mine. The 85 computer has a mass air burnoff relay that piggy backs the computer. The 89 computer has a VATS device (vehicle anti theft system) and your car will not run unless this is overridden. I hope this helps.
