Will this hurt how my car performs?


I am not shure how deep it goes but the car still peforms GREAT runs like a champ(Needs tune up) and starts every time. like i said im not shure how deep it is i was just looking thrugh my pics of the car and saw that.(The car is not here it is at my moms)..So could you please tell me if this will hurt anything?..what flows thrugh that part of the plenum?

well it should make you have a high idle because it is basically a vacuum leak. Could make it hard to tune since the computer isnt seeing that extra air entering the engine therefore the computer would probably be always trying to compensate

after the car warms up it idles at about 700-800 rpm

how long has it been broke like that. maybe the computer has already adjusted to it. you would need to see it you feel any air around that area. if not then its probably not effecting anything

Start your car and let it idle. Grab a can of carb cleaner or ether or something and give the crack a quick spray or two. If the RPM changes at all then you have a leak and should get it fixed.

That looks completely fine to me?

Are you talking about the thing on the top of the plenum?

If so, it's not broken.



That's part of the plenum design...unless I missed what you're talking about...

lol, Ya i went and saw my car today. There is no crack. Its just a very deciving little shadow. Had me fooled...Thanks for the Help..
