Is this crimp/restriction in '89 TPI fuel rail factory?

Is this crimp/restriction on a 1989 L98 350 TPI fuel rail factory? Originally I thought somebody slipped with a wrench and crushed it but once I got the fuel rail removed I noticed its also compressed from the underside. It looks like it was done with a pliers. I can't imagine somebody purposely doing this ??

its not stock someone has crimped it / damaged it.
Mine is round and nice
that will restrict the flow of the fuel, fix it or replace it..

I repaired it it this afternoon. I put a two-peice 3/8" ID diameter shaft collar around the tube and tighten it down. It reformed the tube back to round again. I'm surprised how well it worked!

If that was the return side someone might have been trying to raise the fuel pressure.

What do you think?

That one on the top is fuel INLET, the lower one is return
So it was the inlet that was "broken"..
crimping the inlet will raise the pressure to a little bit,

but this is NOT the way to do it..
