Best way to hit 400hp..... L98.........
I want to start making plans to make the 'bird a little meaner.....
Right now, it pulls pretty good. Has a flowmaster exhaust system, and a K&N... thats it.
So whats next? I want to run low 12's.
Who has done it, and how?

K&N, nothing else yet!

Beautiful car, several mods, but now I am turning attention to the 'bird!

The October CHP has lots of errors in it. For one, they used AFR 190 heads, not L98 heads.
For an intake you want a Miniram for non-smog areas, and a SuperRam if you have to pass smog.

Afr 195's, miniram, zz409 cam, 52mm t.b, hooker super comps, at least 3inch exaust, custom chip, 4.10's and a t-5.
This is the combo i used on a stock L98 bottom end to run a 12.1@118 on bald nittos.

IMHO the best way to get cheap power is to add nitrous. Is your car a daily driver? I don't think there is a better way to get a solid dual purpose car than the bottle. You have hp when you want it....unless your a nut and want it all the damn time. Plus its relatively inesxpensive. Just my thoughts

I guess I am a nut
I always have to get on it. I have the bottle and I don't know if I like it that much yet. still waying pros vs cons but, the fun factor is there of course.

Its a great topend cam. My powerband didnt even start untill after 3500 rpm and pulled harder and harder the further up the rpms went. Of course this was on a 350 not 383 so you should have some more bottemend.
FYI: Get good springs and a hydr rev kit. I had the stock afr springs on my heads, and I floated the valves somewhere around 7000rpms. Resulsting in catastrophic engine failure.
