MAF Relays on 85 Iroc

I have a problem. Where do I look to find my mass air flow sensor relays on my 1985 Iroc engine code F (305 TPI). What I see in my car on the firewall is different from what I have seen on 86-89 models.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

There arent any, yours has a MAF module, and its super expensive if you need one. Its located under the dash piggy backed to the ECM mount.

Scott, do you think there's a problem with it? If you want some help, I'll bring my Helm's manual to work tomorrow. Re-post here and I'll try to answer specific questions. If you know how to handle a multi-meter, the manual's got some detailed troubleshooting instructions. I'm itching to fix one of these things. My guess is that if they fail, it's the relay inside. Problem is, if its bad, you'll want a new one ASAP. Of course, switching to the '86-'89 ECM, along with all the re-pinning, etc., will take a while, too.

I dunno, called up the chevy dealer, I can get that part for 500 bucks wholesale or 750 list. A little rich for my blood. I just figured that I could replace the maf relay's and be on my way, but I guess that is not the case.

Thanks for your help guys, I really dunno whats up with this thing... I am gonna park it and start saving towards my new drivetrain...

86's dont have the MAF module, what you are probably looking at is the VSS buffer, although mine is yellow not white.

Looks like the mounting points are there. Judging by the crimp connectors and the silicone on the relay, someone has worked on it before.
Is everyone sure they haven't just been relocated? Or did all '85s have the module instead of relays?

88 IROC with cobbled together (not by me)drivetrain, 86 (?) TPI unit on an '83 305,CE subframe connectors, Edelbrock strut tower brace, polygraphite bushings all around...it handles like a dream, but man is it hard to push!!
