1/4 mile guess?
1/4 mile guess?
I know you get this a lot but, What do you think my car would run? It has a rebuilt motor with 5000 Miles on it. My friend in his 5.0 that runs 14.8's says he'll beat me, I think he's full of $hit. I'll have some actuall times in a week or so, I'll post them then.

If you don't royally hand his a$$ to him then your driving must suck. I'll bet my left nut on this one.
I think you'll run a loooowww 14 or even 13.9-13.8 w/ a good launch.

try and get him to put some money down without scaring him off.
You'll win unless you smoke the tires off the line.

well I hope you beat him, but you REALLY put all that on to your stock heads/exhaust manifolds? I hope it was free or damn close to it. I'm sorry to pick on you and maybe(hopefully for your case) I'm wrong(we'll see when you post some timeslips), but I'd say most of these guesses are right low 14s/high 13s(don't know the specs on ZZ4 cam). You could run those times or faster for at least half or 1/4 of what you spent. On the bright side, your fuel/air induction should be good for the life of your car. Good Luck

I really hope you will win but I am not certain your mods will actually produce a gain. I have seen a 350 l98 with edelbrock heads full super ram, hot cam, headers, etc run a 14.5 at 96. I would like know the outcome. Gtech the car first.

I do agree that your heads are killing you right now...but I have seen stock L98 cars run low 14's all day. Im sure the superram couldnt hurt
. I would hope you could pull a high 13 with that setup. How is your traction off the line? If you can get it to hook you should take the stang no problem. If your traction off the line is bad I would work on that problem BEFORE you buy any heads(It'll just get worse). Its been said many times, but I'll say it again...60' times are everything at the track (or in this case street). If everything goes as it should you'll be waving bye-bye to Mr. Mustang by 2nd gear.
peace

Alright, so at least you got a GOOD deal on it, understandable then. I'd suggest some headers soon if you didn't already get them. I'd predict close to a .5 sec gain with headers on that combo. Sorry off the subject. When are you running? This weekend? Keep us informed. I wouldn't hope for much more than 97-99 mph with what you got(the stock heads/manifolds are killing you), but you should definately run better than 14.8

Yes, I REALLY could use some headers and some Heads for that matter. The reason why I don't have headers yet is because I don't have the time to install them right now, and I refuse to pay some exaust shop for something I can do. If I had the $$$ now I would have a complete combo, but because I don't I just have to do the work in stages. When I'm done it will be one bad A$$ car. I don't expect to have my top times when I go to the Drags this weekend, I am just going to get an idea of what I run now and to see how I improve the times in the future.
