Has anyone used one of these cams with stock TPI or MINIRAM?

It's a fairly new cam made by GM Performance Parts.
I'm seriously thinking about replacing my ZZ9 cam in my 89 IROC with one of these.
GM 12370847, the "847" cam
234/242 duration at .050
.539/.558 gross lift with 1.5 rr
112*lsa

-OR-
the CompCam 306
230/244 duration at .050
.510/.540 gross lift with 1.5 rr
112* lsa

Has anyone used these!?
Or am I going to be the guinnea pig?

The car is no longer a dailey driver, and I want the next best thing to a solid roller.

The cam you listed will work fine with a mini ram but not the stock TPI. The stock TPI is not designed to rev past 5000 RPM maybe 5500RPM with the correct combination of aftermarket parts. The cam you have listed will make peak power between 6000 RPM and 7000 RPM. Ok for the mini ram, but too large for the stock TPI design.

should see about 500 at the flywheel and 400-420 at the wheels. I'll have mind done this spring and will let you know as it progresses.

ps Also I'm using DFI and a t-56. that will make it a little more driveable.

My cam is a little smaller than the 2 you listed and I have to tell youIT GETS ON MY NERVES sometimes. At times Ithink the car is just gonna fall apart while at the stop light, any other than that:
