Fuel Getting into the Oil

I opened up the tube that connects to the side of the air intake that leads to the valve cover on the passenger side, smelled like fuel. Took the oil stick out and smelled it, and yep, smelled like fuel. whats the cause of this???

Re: Fuel Getting into the Oil

I would lean more towards a sticky injector.
Most of the time bad rings cause oil burning.

Re: Fuel Getting into the Oil

I know how to get to the injectors and what they are, but what do you mean by sticky and how do I fix this problem?

The pintle gets gunk buildup.
You can try Techron fuel system cleaner or you could pull them all out and send them out to get cleaned.

Re: Fuel Getting into the Oil

do i need to put the fuel system cleaner directly into the fuel rails to get directly on the injectors? where is the entrance in which I put in the cleaner, because Im not positive of the best way. after its in there, do i need to turn the key or anything else i need to do?

Re: Fuel Getting into the Oil

well is this sticky problem the cause of overheating too? I will go on and give it a try but the car barely starts and i have a full tank so im not sure putting it in the tank will do much good
