Jamon8, I don't have personal experience on this subject, and I heard before that they are different. What is different BTW???? I did a search and found http://tpiparts.net/inc/sdetail/360 Also other sites have the same IAC for 85-92 TPI. Could you please educate me on the subject???

Re: Throttle body swap??
Hmmm.. I'm going to try the same thing on my 86 IROC. Mine has a 91 350 in it though and I think the guys who did the eng swap for me said they had to switch the TB because of the linkages were different.

Re: Throttle body swap??
Early model TB have the cable fitting on a carb style stud. Later models have the cable fitting into a quadrant on the shaft. Was supposed to give better feel as the cable "unwraps" from the quadrant.
Use throttle cable to suit what ever year TB you are using.
IAC wire plug changed on LT1's.

Re: Throttle body swap??
the intake manifold has some holes in it where the motor takes in the iac air to idle the car where as the newer style has two little slots that are cut into the pleneum after the throttle body
