fuel pump problem
so i go to change my fuel pump and well honestly it seems like more of a hastle to drop that stupidly shaped fuel tank than to use an air hammer to cut a hole in the trunk.
so unless somebody can explain to me the correct procedure for dropping it out from the bottom of the car....
then please show me where i should cut this hole out.
becasue honestly having to deal with the fuel lines and getting everything back in correctly it seems a little more difficult.
call me dumb whatever idc i'm just tryin to get this all sorted out please.

Re: fuel pump problem
Cutting a hole in your car and hacking through 4 fuel lines is just not the right way to go. It's not safe to patch the lines with rubber hoses either. It's a pain, but it's worth doing right (or paying someone else to).

Re: fuel pump problem
to drop the tank ,
get the car as high up as you can safely .
drain the fuel
disconnect the fuel lines , pump harness , filler neck , rear brake lines , ebrake cables , sway bar , drive shaft , shocks .
drop the rear end
let the exhaust hang down
unbolt the tank straps and drop the tank
remove the sending unit .
separate pump from sending unit .
do the reverse .
im sure i forgot some small detail but that is the jist of it .

Re: fuel pump problem
here you go I've done it at least 10 times:
jack rear as high as you can go then support on jack stands, remove rear tires, panhard bar, track bar and sheilds below gas tank.unbolt rear sway bar in pass tire well.Unbolt pass side rear LCA bolt.unbolt shocks,Pass spring should fall out, remove gas door & black inner thing.Disconnect gas lines be sure to use backup wrench,Disconnect electrical connector above gas tank.Unbolt exhaust at converter and take out pass side of car.Unbolt straps holding tank and slowly manuver down and out.Tank will rest on lowered rear and you willbe able to remove ring on top with hammer and screwdriver.
