Idle Issues!!!!!

I just got my car up and running with the help of John at fuel injector connection. (Thanks John!!!) Now, for some reason, my idle is all over the place. The majority of the time, the idle is really high(2k to 2200). But also, sometimes, it will idle nice at about 900 to 1000 at start-up. I adjusted the TPS to exactly .54 and WOT is at 4.24. It seems the idle while Im driving sometimes comes down, and idles at 500 or a hair under, so when I come to a stop, it stalls. When this happens, I start it, and it idles @ 500. Would this be the IAC? What else could it be if not? also seems to burn a little more fuel than it used to. Thanks for any help

Re: Idle Issues!!!!!

Could be a vacuum leak, or IAC, or even timing. Have you adjusted the TPS? After I replaced my injectors, my idle would stumble around between 600 and 1500, and adjusting the IAC fixed it. I used the instructions here:

Re: Idle Issues!!!!!

I have the same exact problem and i just got my car scanned with a snap on scanner. We found that the tps is fine but the egr is dead. it had no reading what so ever while running at temp or cold so i plan on replacing it. will post up to let you know what happens. does that sound like it could do that?

Re: Idle Issues!!!!!

EGR is only active while driving and giving throttle, did you test it while driving ? Did you do a vacuum test on it ? putting vacuum at it and see if it holds it ?

Re: Idle Issues!!!!!

update---- all is well. After setting the tps, i drove it for a while, and now it idles great. Im guessing it had to reset itself after being adjusted. I drove it every day this week, and everything is great.
Big thanks to http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...&productId=134
without them, my car would still be down.

Re: Idle Issues!!!!!

The price is quite fair too. Definitely worth the upgrade. Car runs a lot better
