bypassing vats-no key
i read the tech article on bypassing the vats, but my donor car didn't have a key. do i have to get an aftermarket chip now? any suggestions on the chip, motor will be close to stock.

u have to go to the dealer so they can see what resistor is needed for the vats then get a key test resistance on the key then solder in the right resistor

Or you can just get the list of the 13 different resistances, go to Radio Shack, buy a pack of resistors, and try all 13, one at a time, like I did. Took me an entire saturday, but it turned out fine.
