Throttle Body Question

I just bought a 58mm BBK throttle body and it is a little different then my stock throttle body. On the side where you hook up the throttle and cruise control cables, the arm there is different. Did I get the wrong throttle body? I have a 1992 formula, is this one supposed to be for the earlier tpi motor?

Send it back, or change your throttle cable.

Re: Throttle Body Question

well i would but I bought it used. It is like new but I dont think it will work on my car. I think this Throttle body is for the earlier TPI cars. Is there anyway to switch the levers?

Re: Throttle Body Question

can't switch them, just buy a throttle cable for a pre 89 tpi, thats what i did. only difference is the progressive rate of the pedal, i personally like the older style better, it has a smoother pedal flow.

Yeah I think I will have to switch the cable. I wish I could trade someone for the right TB i'd even trade for a 52mm.

How hard is it to switch the throttle cable?

It's not a real problem.
Start under the dash at the pedal.
The cable hooks up on top of the pedal assembly, then pops through firewall.
